# Geografix

Spatial mapping module for surveys tagged as **"mappable"**. These surveys always have a **Geografix category** in the Codebook giving easy access to the geographic items. Those items **must always be in the crosstab rows** for the module to work as intended.

## **Capabilities**

- Links survey metrics to geographic boundaries through **KML** boundary definitions.
- **Heat map and customization:** shows column audiences across regions as gradients or percentile ranges.
- **Chart overlay:** overlays regional pie charts showing multi-target audience distributions.
- **Points of Interest (POI):** search for and save physical locations or retail points directly onto the map canvas.
- **In-module tablebase switching:** change the active tablebase inside Geografix (see Explore - P-Maps).

## **Tools**

| Tool | Functionality |
| --- | --- |
| Heat Map | Visualizes data for a selected column (audience) in the crosstab. Cycle through audiences to render the heat map. |
| Heat Map Customization | Choose a gradient or percentile representation. Gradient start and end colors can be customized. Percentile uses up to 10% increments with adjustable ranges. |
| Data and Title Toggles | Toggle the map overlay (background map), data labels (percent to row, percent column or index) and titles for geographic areas. |
| Chart Overlay | Pie charts on each geographic area showing the breakdown of all audiences (all columns). Controlled by a separate data item selection, independent of the heat map. Adjust size and set a maximum number of overlays shown (default **20**) to manage density. |
| Custom Points of Interest (POI) | Mark and save locations by clicking the map or searching keywords (for example "coffee", "Walmart"). Saved points are marked on the map and their color can be customized. |

## **Export**

Export formats: PPT, Google Slides, PDF, JPEG, PNG and SVG.
