# Report settings

In the Reports section, the **Settings** dropdown (top right) holds the settings and preferences for the active report. Defaults for new reports are set in User Preferences (see Explore - Workspace Management).

## **Display and data settings**

- **Data Items:** opens the Data Items modal.
- - Show more or fewer data items for the selected survey, or reorder them.
    - Toggle **Show Percentage** for percentage-based values.
    - Set decimal places globally for the report, or per metric (for example Count 0 decimals, %Col 1 decimal, Index 2 decimals).
    - Include the **Audience Rank (row)** data item: calculates audience reach across rows and dynamically ranks them in descending order so high-reach items surface first.
    - **Reset to Default** or **Save** to confirm.
- **Manage Report Items:** modal to change the order of rows, columns and tablebases, or delete multiple items.
- **Data Context:** how many layers or levels of category / subcategory titles show for each item. **Apply** updates the title mode.
- **Highlight Values:** opens the Highlights modal.
- - Custom highlights: up to **5 rules** with custom color assignments and filter combinations.
    - Or gradient highlights across the entire report, rows only, or columns only.
    - Can apply to all views or the active view only.
- **Heat Maps:** heat map configuration based on index values across the report, using quartiles, quintiles or custom thresholds.
- **Stability Flag** and **Ignore Zero Weighted Respondents:** display toggles that affect data visibility based on survey configuration. Stability flag thresholds are defined per survey, so the number varies.
- **Weights Selection Dropdown:** when a survey or longitudinal trend family has multiple weighting schemas (for example individual, household or seasonal weights), switch the active scheme from the table header dropdown.
- **Totals Display Controls:** show or suppress margin totals for **Rows**, **Columns** or **Both**. Set in report settings or saved globally in User Preferences.

## **Significance testing**

Highlights statistically significant cells using a two-sample t-test:

| Color | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| White | No significant difference |
| Red | Significant at 90% |
| Orange | Significant at 95% |
| Green | Significant at 99% |

## **Audiences, planning and activation**

- Manage Custom Codes (formerly Manage Custom Audiences): view, search, import and manage custom audiences and media across personal and shared drives. This menu now includes a dedicated tab for Custom Media. See Explore - Custom Audiences and Snapshots.
- Save Custom Audience / Media: save columns, rows, or tablebases as reusable custom audiences. You can also save custom media by opening the report settings, clicking 'Save media', and selecting compatible media codes. Saved media can be reused in the Plan application.
- **Send to Plan:** for users with Plan access working in media-enabled surveys. Sends selected audiences and media vehicles directly to a new media plan. The dialog has three tabs:
- - **Media:** media items and vehicles in the active crosstab.
    - **Audience:** target audiences defined in the active crosstab.
    - **Preview Selected:** consolidates everything chosen before transfer.
    - Validation: at least 1 audience and at most 10 audiences. Combined audience codes are fully supported and will work in Plan as long as Plan supports the operator used. Clicking Send to Plan opens the Plan application in a new browser tab with the selected entities pre-populated in the campaign workspace.
- **Third-party activations and history:** for accounts configured with activation endpoints, the Explore settings in the top bar provide an **Activation Dialogue** that guides audience publishing. To audit past activations, open the settings menu and choose **Manage Activations** to see timestamps, destination platforms and activation status for the active report.
