P-Maps

Perceptual Mapping plots 2D scatter visualizations that compare brand perceptions or audience attributes across two columns or two data metrics.

Reading the map

  • Quadrants: upper-right over-indexes on both axes; lower-left under-indexes on both; upper-left is high Y, low X; lower-right is high X, low Y.
  • Bubble scaling: bubble size corresponds to projected audience size.
  • In-module tablebase switching: change the active Tablebase filter inside P-Maps and the scatter coordinates and bubble metrics recalculate immediately, without returning to the Data Module. Also possible in Explore - Geografix.
  • Annotation styling and custom colors: Annotation Mode (P-Maps and Correspondence Analysis) lets analysts draw lines, place markers and add explanatory text over the plot. Stroke and font colors can be customized to highlight competitive clusters, draw quadrant dividers or match client brand guidelines before export.

Features

The module keeps similar functionality to previous versions with an updated UI and design. Mapping controls are on the left side of the interface.

Best Fit

Automatically centers all points in the graph to maximize the viewing area, especially when data is spread out.

Reset Graph

Returns the graph to its original view and centers the 100% mark.

Zoom / Pan / Full Screen

Zoom in and out, pan in any direction, toggle full-screen.

Graph configuration options (below).

Hide Data Labels / Grid Lines

Hide the data labels or grid lines.
